Two Sides of A Heartbeat by DeLaine Roberts

“I never stopped loving you, I just stopped begging for you. There’s a difference.”

After a beautiful proposal, Dr. Grayson Brooks pleads with his fiancé, Alexandra Morrison, not to get on the plane. Once the plane is in the air, the events that unfold turn their lives upside down. The tragedy and loss engulfs both families in a situation that spirals out of control.

Secrets are revealed and the past once again haunts both families; as if that isn’t enough, Olivia Balcone, once engaged to Grayson and romantically involved with his twin brother, Harrison, returns to Dallas and stirs up more feelings and a lot more trouble.

Alexandra was so close to having it all: a baby, a gorgeous husband, and a family united. But is she strong enough to fight for what she wanted?

Review:
This book is so mind blowing that it makes us want to read quicker in order to know the end. It is an intense and amazing read that everyone need to read it now. It starts off where the first book ended. I definitely feel for the two main characters, Grayson and Alex, has a long journey for them in order to have their happiness at the end. However, they remain together no matter what. They are going through a lot throughout the novel but they are strong for each other. They definitely have their past coming toward them that they need to comfort it and move on to have everything tied off. Good read.

About the book:
Hang on to your Stetsons this summer, because you’re in for one wild ride! Get lost in the second installment of New York Timesbestselling author Harper Sloan’s Coming Home series, KISS MY BOOTS. In the second installment, the wildest Davis of them all is looking for love…maybe.
Quinn Davis prefers to live her life quietly. She’s the stereotypical tomboy with two overprotective big brothers who have always looked out for her. Of course, it doesn’t help that her heart has already been hardened when it comes to devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery comes riding back into town. Their first meeting, however, is far from something out of a fairy tale and only further convinces Quinn that men aren’t worth her time.
Growing up, the one time Tate ever truly felt at home was during the long, sweltering summer months he spent at his gram and paw’s farm in Pine Oak, Texas. Now, Tate has returned to his childhood sanctuary seeking a fresh sta…
